As a cross-party and no-party membership organisation we have no comment to make about Wales becoming a Tory-free zone, but Wales for Europe welcomes the new UK government, wishes it well, and supports its commitment to closer alignment with the EU, not only through trade but also in social, cultural, environmental and other domains. 

A government committed to change cannot have its future policies fossilised by an advisory referendum held way back in 2016, whose consequences need urgent change to mitigate their harm. 

And a government committed to growth cannot afford to be a non-member of a single market of 27 neighbouring nation-states.
